National Poetry Writing Month 2018

[Prompt: write a poem that includes images that engage all five senses. Try to be as concrete and exact as possible with the “feel” of what the poem invites the reader to see, smell, touch, taste and hear.]

Don’t Bug Me

While am lost in thoughts you buzz, buzz and buzz!
flying all across oh! now that you sit
stagnant on my arms ouch! that sting you pierced
sucking up my blood dizziness in air
smells of repellants but you still prey me
crooked lonely bug ah! taradiddle
pungent chemicals itchy bug bites yet
nothing seems to work take a slap you bug
you just wrecked my nerves stop tasting my blood
saved by missed aims now hide in the garden..
